Presta CCS Foam Pads reduce heat buildup and much, much more...

blue ccs foam pad You may have noticed in recent Presta advertisements and catalogs that our foam pads have pockets all over the front of them. So, what are these pockets all about?

Presta foam pads are what is know as CCS foam pads. CCS stands for compressed cell structure. This means that the strategically-placed pockets on the face of these pads do not absorb polish.

CCS foam pads offer a number of benefits over traditional flat foam pads including: reduced heat build-up, slower rate of polish absorption, improved control and reduced pad skipping.

How Presta CCS Foam Pads work:

Reduced Heat Build-Up: The pockets reduce the amount of friction against the flat paint surface and can significantly reduce heat build-up.

Slower Rate of Polish Absorption: Less product is absorbed into the foam offering longer working time for better polishing results.

Improved Control: The pockets act as little reservoirs and slowly release polish for even pad coverage and precise control.

Prevents Pad Skipping: CCS pockets reduce surface tension and virtually eliminate the sticking and skipping that often occurs with flat foam pads.
